Who is Who?

In our troop there are certain people who are important to know. In order of importance:
Scout Master: Mr. Roy
Assistant Scout Master: Mr. Wilkerson
Camping Master: Mr. Kalima, Mr. Greenhow
Senior Patrol Leader: Micheal
Assistant Senior Patrol leader Master: Christian
Patrol Leader/s: Kian, Sean, Robbie
Assistant Patrol Leader/s: Eelke, Noah, Dan
Quarter Master: Sepho
Assistants: Mr. Corpus, Mr. Marcos

It is important to know who is who so that you an always know who to talk to if there is a problem or if you just want to talk or need help. All these people are willing to go to any lengths to make your boy scout experience as enjoyable as possible. But they can't do it unless you help them.

If you ever need help or want to talk, just go to any of these people. They are not evil. : P

What we do

In the Boy Scouts of America we do a lot of stuff, mainly it is all centered around community service and camping. But there are also other things involved. In the Boy Scouts you learn new skills, such as First aid or Scuba Diving, and make a lot of friends. The Boy Scouts usually always meet every Tuesday next to the covered courts at ISM. There we discuss merit badges, upcoming camp-outs, and mainly just have fun. Every 4 -5 weeks or so we go on a camp-out, usually 1 night. On the Camp-outs we usually do some hiking or biking if planned or do something merit badge related. We also do some community service, like what we do at the American cemetery here in Makati. At the cemetery we usually help out the grounds staff with jobs such as headstone cleaning, tree planting, and grounds keeping. But mainly we always have fun, whether on the beach at Puerto Gallera or Subic Bay, or up in the mountains at the Ambassadors residence, you can always count of a fun experience.

Merit Badge 4 Dummies

Hello All
As you all know, in Boy Scouts we do merit badges, these are basically skills that you can learn and/or develop. Some of these Merit Badges are required for the rank of Eagle, and some are just for fun.
To get the rank of Eagle you need a total of earn a total of 21 Merit Badges. A few of these Merit Badges are required but the rest are up to you.
To do these merit Badges you need a few things. First a Counselor (found at your nearest Boy Scout Troop) these counselors have to be approved by the Far East counsel so they can't be your parents. Second you need the Merit Badge Work Sheet. There are a number of sites on the internet that provide them, but the two most reliable are usscouts.org and meritbadge.org. Third you need a blue card. This is a "certificate" of sorts that you and your counselor have to fill in.
To start the Merit badge process you need to go to the counselor of that merit badge with your blue card and Work Sheet. You then discuss what you will do and then you go do it. There is some practical and come theoretical involved. Once done you go back and discuss it with your counselor again.

And VOILA, your done. Now go and have fun getting those Merit Badges.

This is the blue card that has to be filled in:
